Following the bombshell news that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach were reportedly having an affair while still legally married to their significant others, a new report claims that the “Good Morning America” news anchors have left their co-hosts furious. Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos apparently aren’t siding with their colleagues, whose romance was revealed in an exclusive report by the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
Robin and George, as per The Sun, are calling the scandal “very messy” and were taken aback by the news considering they had always prided themselves on not having a sex scandal like their rival morning show, “TODAY,” who were scrutinized after Matt Lauer was accused of sexually assaulting employees at work.

Though it would be somewhat unfair to draw comparisons between an affair to multiple sexual assault incidents, Robin and George are said to be trying to navigate through this newfound controversy the show is now being plagued by. “Robin is an idealist. She is the boss. When something goes off the rails she jumps in and tells people to tidy the mess up,” a source explained. “And I’m not so sure there’s a way to tidy this one up. This is all very dirty for a morning show.”
As previously reported, Amy and T.J. are alleged to have started their romance back in March when they were preparing for the United New York City Half Marathon. Then, in June, the pair traveled to London together to cover the Queen’s Jubilee, during which time their relationship had allegedly turned serious.
It wouldn’t be until August before both Amy and T.J. Holmes would leave their partners, with photos obtained by the Daily Mail as recently as last week showing the “GMA” co-hosts still cozying up to one another. The snaps received by the aforementioned publication strongly indicated that the pair could very well be a full-on couple now, especially with their marriages both being in the past.

Both T.J. and Amy have been married since 2010, and what still remains unclear is whether their relationships with each other’s partners ended prior to their affair — assuming they were separate to their significant others — or whether they were keeping their romance a secret until deciding they wanted to be together for good.
Neither of them has addressed the scandal, with T.J. having since deactivated his Instagram account, while Amy has restricted comments under all of her IG page.
