Texas Man Uses BMW Dealership Loaner To Rob Bank So He Can Buy His Own
While the incident occurred in Summer 2019, Eric Dion Warren, a 50-year-old Texas man, has since been arrested and sentenced after using a BMW dealership loaner car to rob a bank, so he could buy his very own Beamer. In a new press release, federal prosecutors revealed it all went down as Warren was finalizing the sale of his own Beamer.
Once he asked for his downpayment at the dealership, Warren left, using a loaner car, and went to rob a bank in Wolfforth. As he walked up to the teller, Warren gave a note, which he wrote on a bag from a fast-food joint; it read, “This is a f***ing robbery. Play with me and die. I want $10,000 in 50 and 100 dollar bills now you got 1 minute or I will kill you.” He then pulled out a painted pellet gun and said, “I ain’t playing around, I only want 100s and 50s.” The teller handed over more than $5,000 in cash.

Warren drove back to the dealership in the loaner, began waving around the stolen money, and tried to finalize his purchase with a $3,000 cash down payment. However, he was busted after an employee learned about the robbery and called police, confirming the description of the loaner vehicle at the crime scene. Subsequent to his awe-worthy actions, on Tuesday (Mar. 9), Warren was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
