In new tweets on X, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett is calling the “One Big, Beautiful Bill’ the “One Big, Bold-Faced Lie Bill,” and she also slams former head of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) Elon Musk while agreeing with his criticism of the OBBB.
Last month, the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” passed through Congress with a 315 to 214 vote. Two Republicans voted no. They were Kentucky’s Thomas Massie and Ohio’s Warren Davidson. Spanning the 1,000-plus pages, the bill seeks to offer greater benefits to the richest people in America.
It also looks to provide big cuts on Medicaid and SNAP and could also present limitations on courts’ abilities to enforce contempt. The bill is estimated to add $3.8 trillion to the federal deficit. Since passing Congress, the bill is now awaiting its future in the Senate.
Jasmine Crockett Talks ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ And Agrees With Elon Musk’s Criticism While Also Slamming Him
On Tuesday (June 3), Jasmine Crockett took to her personal account on X and basically said hell has frozen over because she actually agrees with something Elon Musk has said. She wrote:
“It’s truly a wild wild wild day when I’m saying that Elon is right! Mark this one on your calendars folks! I agree… the Reconciliation bill is TRASH! Remember this… not one Dem voted for it, but at least 2 Republicans had the courage to vote against it, in the house! America deserves better!”
A couple of hours later, Jasmine Crockett took to her government account on X and reiterated the fact that she shockingly agrees with Elon Musk’s views of the Donald Trump administration’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” However, in the same breath, she also slammed Musk for changing up on his buddy Trump. She wrote:
“Elon calling Trump’s budget bill a ‘disgusting abomination’ is real rich… Now just the other day, that was your boy?! You were right there, helping him wreck federal agencies and calling it ‘efficiency.’ You’re just mad because YOUR stuff didn’t make the bill. Miss us with the bullsh*t… But you’re right, it is a disgusting abomination. Correct.”
On Wednesday (June 4), Jasmine Crockett went back on her government account on X and continued to share her thoughts about the Donald Trump administration’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” She wrote:
“‘One Big Beautiful Bill?’ Try one big, bold-faced lie. They swore this mess wouldn’t add to the deficit…but the non-partisan budget office says otherwise. $2.4 TRILLION added to the deficit-and for what? Tax cuts for the rich.”
