Tekashi 69 Sued For $150M Over 2018 Shooting Incident

Tekashi 6ix9ine has another lawsuit to look over as he sits in jail on racketeering, guns and drugs charges. According to TMZ, the latest suit that he’s been hit with stems from a 2018 shooting.

The new case involves a woman, identified in the suit as Jane Doe, who claims the New York rapper is responsible for the stray bullet that hit her left foot, crushing her dreams of becoming a police officer.

In docs obtained by the news site, the woman detailed the incident that went down in July of 2018. She explained that she was hanging in the courtyard of the Smurf Village apartment complex in Brooklyn when several members of the Nine Trey Bloods behind Tekashi’s kidnapping — also happened to be there filming a music video. Somehow, Tekashi got word that they were in the same place and allegedly ordered his crew to shoot them up, the victim claims.

In the middle of the shooting, she got hit by one of the flying bullets and also injured her knee while falling to the ground. As a result, she had to get surgery, physical therapy and she’s been treated by a psychologist, according to her suit. On top of that, she claims she also couldn’t continue working at Century 21 due to her injuries and had to cancel her plans to attend the police academy.

Now, apparently, she acknowledged that Tekashi apologized in open court and offered to pay for her medical bills. However, she claims that’s not enough after what went down. TMZ reports that she is now suing for more than $150 million in damages.

Meanwhile, Tekashi’s attorney, Dawn Florio, released a statment to TMZ saying,

“It’s suspicious that the plaintiff only sued Daniel Hernandez who was never identified as the shooter in her case. The plaintiff did not sue the persons involved in her shooting. To be clear, Daniel did not shoot her.”

This is now the third lawsuit Tekashi has been hit with this month alone. Ouch.
