The 17-year-old appeared in juvenile court early Friday where he admitted and pleaded guilty to felony charges for the death of 32-year-old Monique Munoz. A judge has placed the teen on house arrest and he is required to wear an ankle monitor until his sentencing. According to ABC 7, his identity has not been revealed to the public due to his age and a deposition setting hearing is scheduled for June 30.
Back in February, Munoz was driving home from work in her Lexus sedan when the teen’s Lamborghini SUV crashed into her vehicle at a speed of 106 mph after reportedly racing with a female friend. Prosecutors said during the hearing that the crash caused Munoz’s vehicle to split in two and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
