Teacher Placed On Leave After Forcing Kindergarten Student To Unclog Toilet With Bare Hands

An Arkansas elementary school teacher was placed on leave after she allegedly forced a five-year-old child to unclog the toilet with their bare hands.

The teacher whose identity was not revealed by the Pulaski County Special School District during their statement regarding the situation. A five-year-old student of Crystal Hill Elementary School told their mother, Ashley Murry,  that the teacher allegedly forced the boy to unclog the toilet with his hands because he used too much toilet paper. Murry called the incident “unacceptable” and said the teacher needs more training. Additionally, the teacher has apologized to Murry for making her son clean out the toilet clog.

“I feel like she needs to be trained, suspended, or terminated or something because that’s unacceptable, I want my son to be in a safe environment, a good environment.”

“Employees across the district work hard every day to create an environment where students feel safe and protected. As is district policy, we cannot disclose information in regards to disciplinary personnel matters,” the school district’s statement said.

The situation is currently under investigation but as per the district’s statement, they could not disclose further information until more details are revealed.
