Taylor Swift Donates $1M Towards Tennessee Tornado Relief
After two deadly tornadoes ripped through Tennessee this past week, killing at least 25 people, Taylor Swift is donating $1 million in tornado relief to her home state.
Furthermore, per Swift’s publicist, the Pop-Country singer’s organization of choice is the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, which allocates resources and support to affected communities as well as nonprofits focused on helping survivors.

Addressing her deed, she writes, “Nashville is my home and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me.” Swift has also encouraged her fans to help out and donate however they can.
In addition to Taylor, fellow native Nashville singer Chris Young and country singer Johnny Van Zant have donated, while and the Tennessee Titans matched her $1M donation.
Furthermore, the two tornadoes, one that hit early Tuesday with 175 mph winds, have caused at least 25 fatalities, with 3 missing persons and over 45 collapsed buildings across Nashville and neighboring cities.
