Tamar Braxton Says She’s Trying ‘Hard To Hold On’ To Her Peace But Keeps ‘Getting Poked’ Amid Kandi Burruss Feud

After things blew up between Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss last week, their drama doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. As previously reported, Braxton appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” a few days ago, revealing that the Instagram post she shared about getting into a quarrel with a certain housewife and her husband was, in fact, about Burruss and her partner, Todd Tucker. Ever since then, the two have been making not-so-nice remarks about each other on social media, to the point where Burruss’ cousin, Akbar V, has now decided to chime in.

In a post shared to her Twitter on Tuesday, she tweeted, “I been chilling but y’all about to stop playing with my cousin and that’s just that […] we forgot she’s the most paid also,” before tagging the “All The Way Home” singer. While it’s only natural to come to your family member’s defense, people on social media have been left puzzled as to why Akbar has turned their feud into talks about who’s making more money. Whatever the case may be, the constant back-and-forth is clearly weighing hard on Braxton, who returned to Twitter, telling fans just how much she seems to have been affected by the whole fiasco.

“trying HARD to hold on to my peace. I haven’t been this triggered in a long time,” she wrote. “Yes, I have #changed but I’m also human. Please be patient with me. Trust me I’m going through it mad with myself, forgetting to breathe. but it feels like I keep getting poked. This too shall pass.”
During her appearance on “WWHL,” the 46-year-old, who celebrated her birthday on Friday, told Andy Cohen doubled down on her comments, saying she wasn’t looking for attention or drama, “but that sh** really happened. It was not cute.”

Cohen had falsely assumed that Braxton may have been talking about Drew Sidora or Eva Marcille, so when he finally mentioned Burruss’ name, he was understandably shocked considering that the Xscape band member usually tries to steer clear from trouble.

After the episode aired, some people were still finding it hard to believe that Burruss and Tucker would have confronted and threatened Braxton — especially since the pair have even toured and worked together. But being accused of making up a lie to tarnish Burruss’ name was clearly not an accusation Braxton was going to take lightly.

On Monday, she issued an update to the situation on Twitter to clarify that everything she said during the taping of “WWHL” did happen despite Burruss having vehemently denied that her husband did anything wrong, let alone threaten another person.

“I’m DONE talking about it,” the “Coming Home” vocalist tweeted. “Obviously it happened. kandi wants to deflect and condone her man’s behavior by calling me a “victim”(smh)….it’s abusive and disrespectful and it’s NEVER OK FOR A MAN TO STEP TO A WOMAN!!! Fans don’t have to agree!! PERIODT!!”
