It appears that Tasha K is finally accepting her legal “L.”
The Youtuber took to social media this Tuesday morning to give her followers a new update on her legal drama with rapper Cardi B. She tweeted, “Damn Winos!😩 We lost the appeal… against #CardiB sad day… but I’m gonna be alright.”
She continued, “I appreciate all your love & support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag… what happened will never happen again… To Cardi & Her team, I apologize sincerely. We Live, & Learn….🥂see y’all Wednesday on YouTube. In another tweet, she added, “Please Do NOT Donate to Any GoFundMe’s in my name at all! If you get scammed, it ain’t on me! Just FYI.”

As we previously reported, Cardi filed the lawsuit in 2019 after Tasha K made seething accusations of Cardi having a sexually transmitted disease, using illicit drugs, and being a prostitute. When Cardi took the stand to testify against Tasha, the rapper shared that she experienced suicidal thoughts after degrading rumors were spread about her on social media.
In 2022, a jury sided with Cardi and found Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. As a result, the 30-year-old rapper was ultimately awarded more than $2.5 million in damages and an additional $1.3 million in legal fees.
Judge William M. Ray later ordered Tasha K to pay Cardi the $4 million. However, Tasha K tried her best to pause the judgment by filing to appeal not once but twice!
In her 45-page opening brief, Tasha argued that the court’s verdict should be overturned for a number of reasons, including the fact that she truly believed Cardi had herpes when she made the untrue statement about her having the STD to her online viewers…
More On Tasha K’s Loss
A month after losing in court, Tasha K appeared on a podcast episode with Kendall Kyndall and Kendra G of Social Society where she was asked if she even had that type of money to pay out to Cardi B. Tasha quickly responded by saying, “I ain’t got it.”
Cardi seemingly reacted to Tasha’s initial reaction to paying her. She tweeted at the time, “Think is a game but trust imma come for everything …..BBHMM.”
Ultimately, Cardi was rightfully pleased and thankful the court sided with her. After being awarded her judgment, she thanked the judge, jury, family, friends, and her legal team for the victory.
“I appreciate Judge Ray for conducting a fair and impartial trial. I am grateful for the jury and their careful deliberation over the past two weeks. I am profoundly grateful for the hard work and support from my legal team. Most importantly, thank you to my family and close friends who held my hand and helped me get the support I needed during this experience.”
While Tasha has not shared how she prepares to pay Cardi B all that money, her last tweet this morning read, “ #TashaKGetsaJob🏃🏿♂️🥂”
Cardi B has not yet reacted to Tasha K losing her appeal.
