Takeoff’s Brother Lingo Mufasa Pens Heartfelt Letter: ‘I Hate I Have To Move On Without You’

The younger brother of Migos rapper Takeoff, who goes by Lingo Mufasa, has shared a heartfelt and emotional open letter to his big bro on his social media, along with some childhood photos.

Earlier this month, the Migos rapper was shot and killed in Houston, Texas during an outing with his uncle and group mate Quavo. There was a brief altercation that involved Quavo and others and when the rapper tried to de-escalate the situation by walking away, someone ended up swinging, then guns were drawn and fired.

The altercation resulted in Takeoff being shot and sadly succumbing to his injuries. Houston Police are still investigating the incident, with no arrests yet made.

Since the fatal shooting, a celebration of life event was recently held for the rapper in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Hundreds of family members, friends and fans were in attendance.

While still mourning the loss of his brother, Lingo says, “I don’t know where to begin. I honestly still can’t believe it. My big brother. My right hand. My other half. My literal twin. The one I could call upon anytime no matter what time, weather, situation you were in.”

As many of his friends and relatives have stated, Lingo also acknowledges Takeoff’s big heart when it came to family. Lingo continues, “You always made sure the family was straight, even when I didn’t need anything you always gave me something.”
