Lil Reese is speaking out to respond to reports about his recent arrest.

As it was first reported by TMZ, the rapper was taken into custody on May 29 at 10:25 p.m. for allegedly beating his girlfriend. He was accused of yanking her hair and punching her in the face, leaving visible scars on her lip. Reese was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence but reportedly posted a $10,000 bond and bailed out several hours later.
Fans were shocked to see the rap star making headlines again especially after his recent incident where he was shot in the eye in his hometown. However, Reese is now speaking out to set the record straight. In a statement to @xxl, he explained: “I got lied on by someone,” Reese told the news site. “[Never] did hit anyone.” As XXL notes, he claims he was the actual victim of false information.
His new arrest comes less than a month after Reese was grazed in the eye during a Chicago shootout over a dispute over a stolen Dodge Durango.
