Doja Cat Finally Speaks Out — Denies ‘Stripping For White Supremacists’ And Using Racist Insults

Doja Cat is finally speaking out following a wave of backlash over old videos which many people found to be offensive. As we previously reported, the hashtags like #DojaCatIsOverParty and #OnlyKlans began trending on Twitter last week after they spotted the rapper associating with alleged alt-right internet users in a chatroom. She was also called out for her song “Dindu Nuffin.” The title is a racist slur often used against black people who’ve faced police brutality.

Social media users came at the Cat for a number of other “offensive” posts, but she is now publicly speaking out to apologize again and clarify a few things to clear her name. In one of her clips, she described her Dindu Nuffin as “lyrically lost” and “maybe the worst song in the entire world”, but insisted it was “in zero ways connected to police brutality or Sandra Bland”. She also denied taking part in racist conversations, while admitting “there is racism that happens across Tiny Chat”, suggesting it was more prevalent there than on other social media platforms.

The 24-year-old further addressed people who said she was guilty of “internalized racism” and self-hatred. She explained: “I love my skin color. I think I’m beautiful”. On top of all of that, Doja also made it clear that she was not mocking Beyoncé following a video online in which she appears to refer to the star as “Beyonkey”. While many people were happy to see her speak out, a number of folks were still not satisfied. A lot of people found her videos to be “condescending” and even rapper Blueface felt some type of way. He wrote in his IG story: “Fucc Doja CAP on Cryp” he added, weird-ass B*itch.”

Social media users have been on a canceling spree lately and as of this month, Doja Cat has been their number one pick.

As we previously reported, the rapper came under fire on Friday after old clips randomly hit the internet showing Doja participating in “racist” and “homophobic” group chats. Many fans were extremely disappointed in the star especially after they spent days celebrating her for going No.1 on Billboard with her hit song “Say So.”

Fans clearly woke up even more angry at the 27-year-old because they’re still letting her have it as of this Saturday morning! A number of people have brought up the old clip where Doja can be seen using the word “faggot.” One Twitter user wrote, “I knew there was something about Doja Cat I didn’t trust. Her saying faggot and then making an excuse as to why she said it was the first indication.” Another added, “Y’all JUST now cancelling doja cat?? guess no one cared when she said faggot and gave the world’s most terrible apology.”

Now, Doja has defended her remarks in the past. In 2018 she hopped on Twitter to explain,

“I called a couple people faggots when I was in high school in 2015 does this mean I don’t deserve support?” she tweeted. “I’ve said faggot roughly like 15 thousand times in my life. Does saying faggot mean you hate gay people? Do I hate gay people? I don’t think I hate gay people. Gay is ok.”

Miss Kitty has been completely silent on all the controversy but when she does decide to speak out, we’re sure it will be another field day.

Doja Cat’s Father Says Stories Of Them Not Knowing Each Other Are False

As Doja Cat continues to take the music world by storm, many people have been eager to know more about the entertainer. Just recently, many fans learned that she is the daughter of actor Dumisani Dlamini.

Now, the pop singer has repeatedly stated that he’s been absent from her life, and in a recent video that has been shared to the internet, shows her briefly talking about Dlamini during her first meeting with Whoopi Goldberg. In the clip, Doja mentions to the “The View” talk show host that she knows her father, Dumisani Dlamini. “I’m just thinking about my dad ‘cause he was in ‘Sarafina!’ so seeing you and meeting you is like the craziest thing,” Doja told Whoopi. The 64-year-old couldn’t believe the coincidence, either. Doja Cat added, “I didn’t get to meet him but you did.”

It looks like Dlamini caught wind of the now-viral clip and wants to set the record straight. During an interview with Metro FM, he said that he’s been trying to get into contact with Doja and claims that he actually spoke with her just before she launched off into a superstar:

“I have been looking for my daughter as well,” he reportedly said. “You mustn’t forget these Americans. Americans will always want to have something to cause a stir so that she stays in the media and is talked about around the world.” Dlamini also noted that the clip of his daughter telling Whoopi that she’d never met her father was a “made-up thing.”

He added,

“I have tried to search for my baby and the company that runs her entertainment has been blocking me. They know that if I could get hold of her, maybe she will disappear from the picture… I know my daughter, wherever she is, is looking for me,” Dumisani added.

He also shared his previous conversation with his daughter, Doja. “She got ahold of me. We spoke. We connected. Now, at this time when she is there and on top, she has to grab the whole world[‘s attention], especially in S.A. because she is a South African and her daddy is here. It’s a made-up thing.”
