What was expected to be a smooth set at Coachella turned out to be a wild a scary moment for Swae Lee.
Just moments before he and Slim Jxmmi were supposed to perform, they got into a big scuffle with Coachella security. It all went down during Coachella’s second weekend and was all caught on video and obtained by TMZ.
In the clip, you can see guards throwing fists during the brawl while Swae and Slim’s guards try to keep the rappers safe and away from the fight. However, things got so bad that the fight quickky spilled over near Swae’s newborn son who eventually had to be taken away to safety.
Swae’s management told the outlet that security claimed at the time they did not recognize the Sremm 4 Life hitmaker. While speaking to him and trying to figure things out, the verbal dispute unfortunately got violent. Swae can be seen getting knocked against the fence as multiple security guards begin to fight a man in the rapper’s camp. One of Swae’s security quickly grabs Swae’s son, who was next to Swae in a car seat, and moves him out of the way as the brawl continues to get more intense.
Management for Swae explains, “As Swae Lee attempted to enter the festival with his newborn son and working crew, overzealous security guards confronted them. As 1/2 of Rae Sremmurd, he was due to perform on Coachella’s Outdoor Theatre stage at 5:55 PM. Security claimed not to recognize the talent and then aggressively initiated contact as they attempted to make their way to the stage.”
They continue, “The security guards, which we presume are independent contractors, are seen clearly being the aggressors and then throwing gang signs at the end of the video in a celebration.”
Despite all the chaos, the pair were still able to hit the big stage. Rae Sremmurd’s Coachella performance comes shortly after the brothers dropped their “Sremm 4 Life” album.

Them security guards that was fighting swae Lee while with his baby be the same ones that rifle through y’all cars while yal enjoying a show. Especially on the last day. Happens too often. Mind you they throwing up gang signs at the end. How weird
