Looks like Usher has his eyes on performing during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Despite the countless hit songs he has, the R&B icon has never headlined a halftime show, but he says he’s ready to take on the challenge when the opportunity comes. While speaking with with “Access Hollywood’s” Scott Evans, Usher revealed what his answer would be if he was asked to perform at the Super Bowl.

“I’d be a fool to say no,” he said. “If things line up the way we would all hope, one day that moment would happen. I’ve had the opportunity to graze the stage before in support of ‘OMG’ with will.i.am, but that was one moment. I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself, so to be able to celebrate on that day, it’s obviously about football, but everybody really anticipates the performance,” he added.

“Seeing Michael Jackson perform and recently seeing Snoop [Dogg] and [Dr.] Dre and all them perform, seeing so many incredible performances like Prince. It has always been kind of a bucket list.”

Usher retweeted an article on Twitter Sunday revealing that he would be open to performing and he commented back saying, “I’m willing to wait for it,” with the wink face emoji. Fans quickly jumped in comments to praise the R&B singer and express how they can’t wait to witness him on the big stage.

It hasn’t been decided who will be performing next year, but it will be a tough act to follow after Rihanna shut the stage down last year while performing her greatest hits. Rihanna had more people tune in for the half time show than people who watched the game. According to Fox News, the ‘Lift Me Up’ singer had nearly 119 million viewers who tuned in for the Super Bowl LVII halftime show.

Being that Usher’s catalog is so strong it would be really great to see how he attempts to fit most of them in a 12 minute set. #Socialites if Usher were to perform at the Super Bowl next year, what are some songs you would love to see him perform?
