Steven Victor Reveals Investigation Into Murder Of Pop Smoke Is ‘Way Closer Than It Was A Couple Months Ago’
Steven Victor, a music executive who worked closely with Pop Smoke, reveals the investigation into his murder is “way closer than it was a couple months ago.”
Joining Ebro Darden on his Apple Beats 1 radio show, Victor spoke about Pop’s posthumous album, ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,’ and also gave an update on the criminal investigation and justice for the late Brooklyn rapper.

While trying to answer without compromising the case, Victor explains, “[Officials are] definitely further along. I don’t know how much I can say. … It’s way closer. I’m getting information from Pop’s criminal attorney, and he’s in communication with LAPD and detectives out there. So it’s definitely way, way closer than it was a couple months ago.” Before switching topics, he affirms, “Justice will definitely be served.”
On February 19, Pop Smoke was a victim of a home invasion in Los Angeles. Law enforcement officials say four hooded men entered the home during the early morning hours. Upon police arrival, they discovered the rapper suffered two gunshot wounds He was 20 years old.
