Last night’s premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s new series “Swarm” has left a lot of people talking on social media — mainly because the show wasted no time getting to the sex scene between Chloe Bailey’s character Marissa and her boyfriend Khalid, who is played by Damson Idris. It was just a few days back when Bailey admitted to feeling apprehensive when she read the script for that particular scene, and we now understand why.

The singer’s fans took to Twitter as the episode aired, and judging by the tweets, nobody thought that the scene was going to be that revealing, with one person writing, “I did not expect to see Damson Idris and Chloe Bailey doing back shots 5 minutes into the series.” Another person wrote, “That Damson Idris and Chloe Bailey sex scene in the show still has me gagged.”

In a recent interview with Deadline, Bailey shared that when she first read the script and saw that she’d be filming the raunchy scene with her co-star, she was somewhat uneasy about the idea of getting this up, close and personal with someone on camera. “I first read the script, I was like, ‘Oh, this is insane, this is incredible,’ and I cried, and then I realized, you gotta do that sex scene, girl.”

While Bailey is no stranger is no stranger to the acting world, having previously appeared in over 60 episodes of “Grown-ish,” as well as the movies “The Fighting Temptations,” “Last Holiday” and “Meet The Browns,” this was the first time Bailey would agree to a scene that was much more daring than what she’s done in the past.

Meanwhile, the “Do It” vocalist is gearing up for the release of her debut album, “In Pieces,” which is dropping on March 31. The record, which is being supported by two singles so far, “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel,” has been in the works for a few years now.

Bailey had previously opened up about the process of putting together her first body of work, which began right around the time Halle Bailey jetted off to London to film her highly-anticipated Disney live-action movie, “The Little Mermaid.”

“I just turned in my first debut album… Two days ago,” she told fans last month. “It was the best Valentine’s Day gift to myself because when I was writing this album, I was dealing with too many… And I’m like, ‘You know what, girl? You deserve better than that.’ And instead of trying to get back at them, I’mma just let karma do its thing. I’mma pray it away.”
