Ice Cube is currently trending on Twitter after Trump campaign senior advisor Katrina Pierson publicly thanked the Hip-Hop icon for helping with assisting the President on developing “The Platinum Plan.” Paterson wrote on Tuesday, “Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan ICYMI: cdn.donaldjtrump.com/public-files/p… Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate. Last month, Trump unveiled the “Platinum Plan” which is aimed to shovel capital, jobs and opportunities into Black communities. According to Bloomberg, it will commit to unlocking $500 billion in access to capital, creating 3 million new jobs, and bridging historic disparities in health care and education. The campaign also pledges that Trump will even make Juneteenth a national holiday if he is reelected,” the news site notes.
On Sunday, Cube released a video revealing that he met with both Republicans and Democrats, but stated that no president in the entire history of this country has ever done right by Black people. While Cube, 51, has yet speak out on the plan or officially endorse any candidate, fans have already began tweeting away with reactions.
One person said: “I’m old enough to remember when Ice Cube mocked Eazy-E for having dinner with President George HW Bush which was Eazy trolling Bush, not supporting him, but we’re in 2020 so up is down.” Another added, “Hearing that Ice Cube — one of my favorite rappers from the early 90s — is a trump supporter…is crushing. F*CK ICE CUBE.” Check out how other social media users reacted:

Ice Cube hasn't spoken on this alleged involvement in helping President Trump, so I am not buying it.
Cube is known for owning his opinions regardless of who would agree with him or not, so him not treating this the same way would be suprising. pic.twitter.com/zeP3BkT8yJ

Y’all slandering Ice Cube for trying to bridge a gap. Im not saying that I agree with him for working with the president or not but some black people love for their favorite celebrities to address the issue but never actually try to solve it.
