‘Simpsons’ & ‘In Living Color’ Writer, Marc Wilmore Passes Away From COVID-19

Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer of “The Simpsons” and ‘In Living Color,’ Marc Wilmore has passed away from complications stemming from COIVD-19. He was just 57-years-old.

“My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling COVID and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years,” Wilmore’s brother and comedian Larry Wilmore tweeted. “My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known. I love you little brother.”

Marc had been suffering from a few health problems over the years, and the Coronavirus exacerbated those.

His extensive career started with the TV adaptation of Harry and the Henderson and then to the Fox comedy series ‘In Living Color.’ He then joined the Simpson’s staff in 2002 as writer and producer. He wrote 12 episodes of the series between 2002 and 2015.

Wilmore was also remembered by his longtime friend and fellow writer, Michael Price,

“Another giant talent taken too soon, I had the privilege to work alongside Marc Wilmore on 3 shows (PJs, Simpsons, FIFF) for the better part of the last 23 years and he was THE funniest person in every room. And a wonderful man. He is irreplaceable. Rest In Peace, my friend,” he tweeted.
