Another big debate is happening online and it has social media users in a frenzy. The latest debate is about the Top 10 TV Dads which seemingly dubbed Bill Cosby from the list. As many know, the ex-prisoner and former actor played Cliff Huxtable on the popular 80s sitcom, The Cosby Show and because of his comedic lines, and heartwarming moments, he became an icon to all families across the country.
Unfortunately for Cosby, his reputation and career started to go downhill around 2010 after he was accused of drugging and raping multiple women. Cosby was prosecuted and convicted of aggravated indecent assault in one case. As a result of that, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. However, his conviction was later overturned, and he was released from the slammer after being in there for nearly 3 years.
It seems like some people online are not letting that get past him and taking that into consideration when discussing the Top 10 TV Dads list. So far it includes, Danny Tanner from Full House, Dan Conner — Roseanne, Tim Taylor from Home Improvement, Philip Banks — Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Carl Winslow — Family Matters, Phil Dunphy — Modern Family, George Lopez — The George Lopez Show, Andy Griffith — The Andy Griffith Show, Mike Brady —The Brady Bunch, and lastly Al Bundy — Married With Children. One Twitter user pointed out that Cliff Huxtable was off the list and explained why he should be on it. She said,
“Cliff Huxtable should be #1. He changed the way many Black people moved in the world because we saw what was possible. I’m not debating Cosby. But to say he wasn’t the only TV dad that transformed a culture would be disingenuous and make any list like this dishonest.” Another added, Cliff Huxtable not being on this list is crazy.” A there said, “Cosby ruined his legacy but Jack was generational.”
“I know that nobody will say this. But Cliff Huxtable is number 1. I’m not talking about the man who played Cliff I’m talking about the TV character,” a fourth added. Bill Cosby wasn’t the only actor who people noticed was missing from the list.

A lot of the replies to this are people upset about no Cliff Huxtable, but honestly, I'm pissed at the lack of Herman Munster. https://t.co/YpiAl2cKKE pic.twitter.com/1N9Vx4BSIo

I have nothing to add. I'm just going to say that Al Bundy should've been #1. Who the hell made this list? The disrespect. https://t.co/Q522jUdB5y pic.twitter.com/FGFAMnp9XT
