Disturbing police bodycam video has been released that shows a 6-year-old crying for help as Orlando police officers arrested her for allegedly hitting three school employees.

The footage was shared by Kaia Rolle’s family on Monday, and it shows the 6-year-old being tied up with zip ties on Sept. 19 at Lucious and Emma Nixon Academy Charter School.

“She’s going to have to come with us now,” Officer Dennis Turner tells a school official. “Stand up, stand up … come over here.”

“What are those for?” Kaia asks.

“It’s for you,” says officer Turner, who was ultimately fired for the incident.

Turned then takes her to a police car as the child screams.

“Are the restraints, are they necessary?” ask an upset school employee. “Yes,” the officer responds. “And, if she was bigger she would’ve been wearing regular handcuffs.”

Kaia’s grandmother, Meralyn Kirkland, previously told News 6 that her granddaughter was acting out in class due to a side effect from a lack of sleep from a medical condition. She was sent to the school office and apparently a staff member grabbed her wrists and Kaia began to kick her, however, school officials state that nobody wanted to press charges.

Turned was fired for breaking protocol and charges against Kaia were dropped.

“We care about the well-being of our students. The officer’s statements are inaccurate. We did not ask for either student to be arrested, neither did we want to pursue criminal charges,” a statement from the school said.
