Sharpe’s exit also comes months after a couple of tense disagreements between him and co-host Skip Bayless – most recently on how the NFL should handle the response to Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest earlier this year.

“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game — but how?’ said Bayless in a tweet just hours after Hamlin’s collapse on the field of Paycor Stadium. “This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

Sharpe was absent from the episode of Undisputed on January 3, which took place just a day after news of Hamlin’s health. When he returned to air on January 4, he said he wished Bayless would’ve deleted his tweet. However, Bayless eventually apologized for his choice of words.

So What’s Next For Shannon Sharpe?

“You’ll see me again somewhere, I just don’t know where,” Sharpe said on Tuesday’s episode, following a bunch of speculation online over the last couple of weeks.
