Yikes! Uncle Shannon Sharpe is known for giving his blunt hot takes, and oversharing on his Fox Sports show, ‘Skip & Shannon: Undisputed,’ but sheesh — his latest admission has the internet going wild! He admitted he paid for a married woman’s divorce because he thought she was “the one.”
Shannon Sharpe Admits He Thought He Found ‘The One,’ But She Was Married, So He Paid For Her Divorce
On a recent episode of his show, the Hall of Famer got a little bit off the track of sports, and during a baby rant, he shared his admission to his co-host Skip Bayless.
A viral clip shows Sharpe stating, “I was once dating this chick, right, Skip, and she was married, but she was getting a divorce. I knew I wanted her. I said, ‘You know what? I’ll pay for the divorce.’ Because I believed she was the one! That’s what I did!”

Sharpe continues, “I said, ‘Why are you arguing about this?’ He wouldn’t sign the papers. I said, ‘Why are you arguing about this little bit of money?’ I gave her the money, filed the divorce. Because I believed. I keep it one hundred with you out here, Skip. But, I did that! If you believe? What will you do if you believe?”

While it is unclear who the elusive woman was that stole Sharpe’s heart, much less if they ever got together and where they ended up. However, social media definitely wants to know more of his story.
Taking the comments, some users shared their adoration for Sharpe and his realness. One user said, “I love this man. Like he’s really a MAN for real. It sends me every time lol.”
Another user said, “Aye, listen. Not too much on Shannon … he’s a real one in my book.”
Meanwhile, others had a little bit more criticism in their comments. One user wrote, “God will not honor that.” Another said, “What in the adultery?” A third said, “Men do not care about who you with when they want you.”
