Samuel L. Jackson was previously on The Jennifer Hudson Show and revealed how he doesn’t remember getting engaged to his wife LaTanya Richardson Jackson because he was “on drugs” at the time.
The couple went back and forth about how it went down, but Samuel ended up saying, “My story was, I came home one day and already had these invitations printed up, and she gave me a stack and said ‘Be here,’ “ Jackson, 74, revealed about the start of his 42-year marriage on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

“She said ‘No, that’s not what happened,” he added about his wife’s reaction to the story — and how she then put him straight. “I actually had to go and talk to her grandfather because he’d told her he wanted to walk her down the aisle before she died,” revealed Jackson. “So I went and asked him for her hand or whatever.”
“That’s probably what happened, because I was on drugs, and I probably didn’t know what the hell was going on at the time,” continued the Pulp Fiction star. “So, she’s probably right!”
During the episode the couple also spoke about how big their wedding was. “The problem was she had 23 bridesmaids and I didn’t have 23 friends,” the “Shaft” star recalled. “I had my friends and then I had my friends ask their friends if they were doing anything. It was on a Monday because we were both working.”
As we all know Jackson has been in a ton of movies and towards the end of the interview he explained one of the craziest scenes he ever had to film, explaining how cold it was for scene.

“It was -37 degrees that day,” Jackson recalled. “They cut a hole in the ice and they put a hot tub in it to make sure we didn’t float away, because there was a current in the lake. They had to break the ice because it would freeze over between shots, and we would get in. They told us to count to five, and we would come up. Then we’d crawl across the ice, and they’d put us in a hot tub while they looked at the replay.”
“We did it five times,” Jackson said. “I have never felt anything like that in my life. You know that headache you get when you drink milk too fast? Multiply that by 20. Oh, Lord! My brain was like, ‘What are we doing?!'”
