While recently visiting Sway’s Universe, Samuel L. Jackson revealed how his wife LaTanya Richardson once reprimanded 2Pac for having a sailor’s mouth around all the ladies on the set of the cult-classic 1992 movie ‘Juice.’ In the film, Sam Jackson plays arcade owner “Trip,” while ‘Pac played the film’s antagonist “Bishop.”
In the movie, directed by Ernest R. Dickerson, Jackson’s wife, Latanya, also played a role as the mother of one of “Bishop’s” friends, “Steel,” played by actor Jermaine Hopkins. Other stars included Omar Epps, Khalil Kane, Queen Latifah, Flex Alexander, Treach, Dr. Dre, Fab 5 Freddy, Donald Faison, Ed Lover, Bokeem Woodbine, Special Ed, Kool DJ Red Alert, and more.

Recalling the incident, Jackson, who is one of our favorite kings of cursing, ironically remembered how his wife had to check the legendary and late rapper on his own sailor mouth. The 74-year-old said “My wife was on that film. She was the chubby kid’s mom. And I guess ‘Pac was walking through a room one day, and he was cussing somebody up. And my wife grabbed him and was like, ‘Young man, you see all these women sitting in here? You can’t be in here cursing!’ And everybody in the room was like, ‘*GASP!*'”
Jackson continued, “He looked at her and was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, ma’am.’ … He apologized and he left, and everybody in the room’s like, ‘Do you know who that was?’ She was like, ‘No! I have no idea who he was, but he shouldn’t have been cursing in front of all these women in this room.'”
According to the ‘Coach Carter‘ actor, from that point on, whenever ‘Pac was on set and crossed paths with his wife, he made sure to always respectfully acknowledge Richardson. He said, “He’d be like, ‘Hey, mom. How you doin’?'”
Jackson also added how much of a joy it was to work with ‘Pac and the rest of the main cast of ‘Juice.’ He explained, “It was a joy to work with someone who knew what was going on. As much as everybody puts ‘Pac in that whole, you know, rapping world, he did go to a performing arts school, he understood the business of acting and what was going on.”
