There has been a lot of speculation about why actress Thandiwe Newton is being replaced by Salma Hayek in the latest ‘Magic Mike’ installment, and the rumors claim it has something to do with Will Smith’s Oscar’s slap.
While Newton’s team has vehemently denied that is why she will be stepping away from the movie, by saying “This report is completely inaccurate,” a Warner Bros. rep said that Newton, who left the London set after 11 days, had reportedly made the decision to leave on her own “to deal with family matters.”
Reports claim she got into a heated argument with Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum who is one of the main stars, and the producer of the upcoming film is reportedly the reason that Thandiwe left. In a report by the Sun, it claimed Newton has been axed from the “Last Dance” following an “unimaginably vicious” fight with Tatum, 41. Apparently, the argument was over Will Smith’s Oscar slap of Chris Rock, and it just led the pair over the edge in disagreement. Although we don’t know what was said, Channing allegedly claimed he could no longer work with Newton, and he is said to have driven off the set.
