Sade’s transgender son Izaak Theo revealed in an Instagram post about feelings about his post-reconstructive surgery scars and transition.

For months, Izaak Theo documented his transition by uploading videos on Youtube and posting various photos on his Instagram pages. Yesterday, Theo posted the following caption on Instagram with accompanying photos revealed the scars from his surgery. It reads, My scars are here. They set me free. To be who I was born to be. At times it was hard to find the light. Didn’t know if I’d make it to the other side. But here I am. I wear my scars with pride. Thank you friend for capturing these @stellamalfilatre“

According to The Jasmine Brand, Theo also opened up about his testosterone therapy in October 2019 and said it has been three years since he started his transition.

In a January 2020 post, Theo credited his iconic mother for helping him with his journey and thanked her for her encouragement throughout the past six months.
