Rockmond Dunbar Sues Disney & 20th Century Fox Following ‘9-1-1’ Departure Over Vaccine Status

911 star Rockmond Dunbar is suing Disney and twentieth Century Fox after his removal from hit show “9-1-1” over vaccine mandates despite him arguing his faith.

TMZ obtained court documents that show Rockmond claimed that he was one of the Black male lead actors on the show and his removal has affected his career.

According to the documents, Rockmond notes that he sent in all the necessary paperwork for a medical & religious exemption for the COVID-19 vaccine, and that his employers said they wanted him to remain on the show and would amend his schedule because he was unvaccinated.

“I applied for religious and medical accommodations pursuant to the law and unfortunately was denied by my employer. My sincerely held beliefs and private medical history are very intimate and personal aspects of my life that I do not publicly discuss and have no desire to start now. I’ve been an actor in this business for 30 years, but my greatest roles are as a husband and father to our 4 small children. As a man that walks in faith, I look forward to what the future holds. I have enjoyed the last 5 seasons with this wonderful cast and crew and will cherish the time I’ve been blessed to spend with this series and wish everyone involved nothing but the best,” he wrote upon his exit.

However, he was no longer allowed on set and was told that his character would leave for a brief period of time on the show, to return later, but that was not the case. In addition he claims Disney and twentieth Century Fox fired him inland did not pay him the money he was allegedly owed.

Rockmond adds that the studios also made it seem like he was an anti-vaxxer in Hollywood, allegedly blacklisting him from the industry.

Rockmond wants the studios to pay up and wants an injunction to not allow the studios to discriminate based on race or faith in terms of vaccination insurance policies.
