Ricky Martin has one less thing to worry about now that heavy claims against him have been dismissed!
The Latin singer and actor just won his case against his nephew who accused him of having a sexual relationship and then harassed him afterward. The 21-year-old nephew withdrew his claim. It was also said the judge dismissed the temporary restraining order that he had issued a week ago.
Ricky Martin, 50, celebrated his victory on Instagram with a statement that read, “Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court. The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter. The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case. This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them.“ The statement also said, “We are glad that our client saw justice done and can now move forward with his life and his career.”

So What The Heck Happened?
As we reported, the nephew had claimed he and Ricky had a 7-month sexual affair. Once it ended Ricky allegedly began stalking and harassing him. Now, the 50-year-old strongly denied the allegations, saying he never had a sexual relationship with the man. The singer’s legal team said the nephew suffers from mental issues. His statement at the time read,
“Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be– involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting,” he wrote to Deadline. “We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts,” Singer continued.

Despite that, fans became skeptical after the nephew had obtained a temporary restraining order last week.
Following the latest update on this case, fans are happy to hear about Martin’s court win. One fan tweeted, “Well now he won the court, but so many people judged him. Ricky Martin was innocent.” Another said, “General Public was sooo quick to crucify this man. Cuz we’re so obsessed with tye downfall of celebrities that we just take everything that comes out as fact. Poor man was being accused by a troubled relative and I’m glad the court was able to get to the bottom of this.”
