Ray J and Princess Love are said to have reached a settlement with a man named Eddie Macione, who filed a lawsuit against the couple for stiffing him out of a $20k reward after finding their missing dog, Boogatti. When the little pup disappeared in 2019, Ray sent out a message on his social media platforms, saying that if anybody knew of Boogatti’s whereabouts and could safely bring the dog back to him, they would receive $20k in return.
“20,000 REWARD!! Boogotti is a 3 ½ pound white Maltese. He was lost in Woodland Hills, CA. Please DM with his photo if you’ve found him,” he tweeted at the time. Maciona ended up finding the dog, unaware that the pup belonged to Ray J until he came across the singer’s tweets online, which prompted him to get in contact with him. When Boogatti was returned, however, Maciona claimed in court docs that Love and Ray J refused to pay and used their fame to “scare him” from filing legal action.
Ray J and Love, according to reports, contended that the lawsuit should be thrown out because they never had a contract in place with Maciona, adding that they did nothing wrong by refusing to pay him for finding their dog. But in an interesting turn of events, since the matter was expected to go to trial in a few days’ time, Ray J and Love have since decided to reach a settlement. The amount remains undisclosed.
Love and Ray J are presumably trying to avoid any further court drama considering that it was just last month when the pair were back to their own legal drama with reports claiming that Love wanted to move ahead with their divorce. Per Radar Online, she filed new court documents, insisting that the relationship had run its course and that she reportedly wanted to start laying out custodial rights and shared assets.

Over the weekend, however, Ray J took to his Instagram page to show some love to the mother of his two children who celebrated her 38th birthday. The “One Wish” hitmaker gushed about Love in an endearing post on IG which included a montage with some of the best moments the two have shared together over the years.
While the social media post would easily have given fans the impression that all is well between the two, sources say Love still wants to continue with the process of their divorce, but it remains unclear where Ray J stands on the matter and whether he’s willing to give up on the marriage. The two married in 2016, with their wedding later being televised on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.”
