President Trump announced on Twitter that he has fired a Department of Homeland Security official after they didn’t agree with his voter fraud conspiracy.

He said in the following tweet that he was going to fire Chris Krebs after the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said he didn’t agree with Trump’s claims about voter fraud. He writes, “The recent statement by Chris Krebs on the security of the 2020 Election was highly inaccurate, in that there were massive improprieties and fraud. Therefore, effective immediately, Chris Krebs has been terminated as Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.”

However, Krebs stated he expected to be fired from the position after he openly disputed Trump’s claims. Prior to his termination, the director would fact check several claims surrounding the election as he was one of the few homeland security officials who overlooked the process and said things went smoothly as per CNN.
