Police Chief Instructs Officers To Turn In Their badges If They Aren’t Outraged By George Floyd’s Murder
Chattanooga Police Chief, David Roddy had instructeur his fellow officers to turn in their badges and quit if they are not outraged by the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis officer.
On Wednesday, Roddy took to social media to express that officers who don’t see an issue with officer David Chauvin’s actions resulting in Floyd’s death should quit.
“There is no need to see more video,” Roddy said. ” There no need to wait to see how “it plays out”. There is no need to put a knee on someone’s neck for NINE minutes. There IS a need to DO something. If you wear a badge and you don’t have an issue with this…turn it in.”
The entire country is currently is uproar as protests have broken out all over over outrage from George Floyd‘s death. Chauvin was charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter and is being kept on suicide watch. The public is asking for similar charges to be brought against the other officers who were complicit in Floyd’s death.
