Pilot And Technician Eject Out Of Plane Moments Before It Crashes Into Home

Two military personnel were ejected from a Snowbird plane moments before it crashed into a home in British Columbia, Canada.

According to HEAVY, the crash occurred during a cross-Canada tour named Operation Inspiration in honor of front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nine Snowbird planes of the Canadian Forces were flying from Kamloops Airport to tour over Vancouver and Vancouver Island early Sunday afternoon. One of the planes crashed into a Brocklehurst home shortly after takeoff.

A video clip shows the pilot and technician ejecting out of the plane. It was reported by the Royal Canadian Air Force that Capt. Jennifer Casey was killed in the crash.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that one member of the CF Snowbirds team has died and one has sustained serious injuries. We can confirm that we have contacted all primary family members of those involved. More information will be communicated in the near future”
