A source close to Davidson claims this will be his last week on ‘SNL’ as he will make a final appearance on the Season 47’s finale. According to Page Six, the episode will be hosted by Natasha Lyonne. Davidson first appeared on the show in 2014 when he was 20, making him one of the youngest cast members to join the long-time sketch comedy series.
He gained notoriety over the years due to his movie roles, appearances on “Weekend Update”, various Netflix specials, and his relationships with A-list women which include Ariana Grande and currently, Kim Kardashian.

Two years before his exit, Davidson previously expressed his doubts about when to leave the show because he didn’t want to leave “too early” as told to Charlamagne Tha God during an interview.
“I have a lot of conversations with people because it’s a hard thing to do. You don’t ever want to pull the trigger too early. Everybody’s always been like, ‘You’ll know when you know, and it’ll be all right. I personally think I should be done with that show because they make fun of me on it. I have a weird feeling in that building where I don’t know whose team they’re playing for really. If I’m the joke or I’m in on the joke.”
“I’m like, cold open, political punchlines. I’m like, Weekend Update jokes. When I’m not there, they’ll be like, ‘Huh huh huh, Pete’s a fucking jerk face.’ And you’re like, ‘Whose side are you on?’” he said during the interview.
Last year, the comedian’s speech during Season 46 sparked rumors that he was planning to leave. “I’m very grateful to be here. It’s been an honor to grow up in front of you guys,” he said during the speech.
Davidson is not the only cast member to leave the show as Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney are also making their exit.
Fans react to the news of Pete Davidson’s exit from the show
Just as I and many others predicted. Bro had trouble appearing in sketches at first but with his recent absence, it just makes sense. He didn’t want to be there. Didn’t show up this season post-Kardashian. I wonder how the other cast members felt tbh. Leaves room for more talent. https://t.co/tjYUBVfCJ5

Can’t believe Pete Davidson would leave SNL after appearing on like 3 episodes this whole season https://t.co/vQLRVNDuIX
