Pete Davidson wants PETA to get off of his tail! The comedian decided to return some energy to Miss Daphna Nachminovitch, the Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations over at PETA who claimed he did not adopt his new dog.
Nachminovitch had previously spoken with TMZ and shared how disappointed she was after assuming the entertainer purchased his new dog from a pet store and not from an animal shelter. Now, after making tons of headlines and getting a little hate online, Davidson is now clapping back while also setting the record straight.
In an explicit voicemail, the “Saturday Night Live” told her he is “severely allergic to dogs” so he can’t adopt just any breed. “My mom’s f–king dog who is 2 years old died a week before so we’re all so sad, so I had to get a specific dog,” he said in the voicemail, obtained by @tmz_tv , adding that the new pup was actually for his mother. “So why don’t you do your research before you f–king create news stories for people because you’re boring…” He added, “F–k you and suck my d–k.”
More On What PETA Said About Pete Davidson
In the original statement, PETA wrote that they hoped Davidson would “show some big heart energy” and get a new dog through adoption rather than purchasing one at a store. “It’s tragic that Pete didn’t seek out a borough-born mutt from a city animal shelter, because a scrappy New Yorker with charm, personality, and unconventional handsomeness could have been his perfect match.”

Back in May, it was reported that Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, had purchased a new puppy together at a pet store. According to reports, the puppy in question is a Cavapoo, and it was purchased in Manhattan at a Citipups location. They even took a snap of them together with their new furry friend.
After listening to his interesting voicemail, PETA released a new statement saying, “If Pete had done his research, he would know that there’s no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog, that at least a quarter of dogs in shelters are purebreds, and that Petfinder has listings for homeless dogs of every breed under the sun, including the one he purchased.”
Despite that, the organization still offered condolences to his family, “Our hearts go out to the Davidson family for the loss of their dog, but Pete must know in his heart that there’s no excuse for buying a dog and propping up the puppy mill industry when millions of dogs await loving homes in shelters, and we hope he’ll do the right thing and adopt next time,” TMZ quotes.
Speaking more about his anger, Davidson simply explained, “I haven’t seen my mom and sister cry like that in over 20 years. I was trying to cheer up my family. I was already upset that the store had filmed me without my permission or acknowledgement. Then this organization (PETA) made a public example of us, making our grieving situation worse. I am upset. It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family.”
