A 6-year-old boy’s life has been cut short and his parents are being held responsible for his tragic death.
According to TooFab.com, police responded to a 911 call from the mother Bianca Blaise. She allegedly told officers that her son had drowned drinking water from a hotel toilet. When police arrived at the hotel in Kissimmee, south of Orlando, they sadly found the child with his head still in the water. The young boy was rushed to the hospital where doctors determined the boy had a brain bleed and a lacerated liver, per the outlet.
During a news conference that was held earlier this week, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez provided more details following their investigation. “Throughout our investigation, it was learned the child was drinking from the toilet, but that had nothing to do with why he was not breathing.” He added, “His parents got very angry because he was drinking out of the toilet and they started to beat him,” Lopez continued, per the Daily Beast. “First the mother beat him. Then the father started repeatedly punching this little boy with a closed fist.” The sheriff went on to say, “Maybe he was thirsty. He went to the toilet. He was trying to survive.” Lopez added per ClickOrlando, “Mama caught him and the poor guy paid the price.”

The boy died earlier this week after spending more than a month on life support. In July, Rhodes and Blaise were arrested and charged with neglect and child abuse. When their son died earlier this week, Lopez added the murder charge.
The couple has other children, the youngest being 10 months old. Lopez said they showed signs of abuse and added that the children were malnourished and covered in fresh bruises. The siblings are now in the same foster home.
“We were able to take these kids from these monsters and hopefully they will never see them again,” the sheriff said.
