Rapper Papoose is declaring his undying love for his girlfriend, champion boxer Claressa Shields, telling her he “loves her to death” after signing to Wynn Records — where Papoose doubles as an artist and Head of Hip-Hop. At the signing party, Shields also sparked pregnancy rumors, which she later denied.

Claressa Shields Signs $8 Million Deal With Wynn Records
This past weekend, Shields attended a signing party in Los Angeles after previously securing an $8 million multi-fight partnership with Salita Promotions and Wynn Records, which is owned and headed by CEO Ruben Branson. The 30-year-old boxing champion has not only remained loyal to her first, and only, promoter Dmitriy Salita — but also her man Papoose as she makes history as the first athlete to sign to Wynn Records.
Additionally, the deal not only sees her as a undisputed heavyweight champ, five-division titleholder, and two-time Olympic gold medalist, but also as a rapper as she enters her rap era. She’s previously flexed her skills online and while appearing on an episode of BET’s new ‘106 & Sports‘ series. The freestyle was clipped and went viral online.
Speaking with The Shade Room, Lefty, an executive at Wynn Records, explained the historic moment for them and Shields, while noting Papoose’s role in her new journey with the label. Lefty said, “Wynn signed Claressa Shields because we strongly support uplifting women and she’s [considered] the most decorated female fighter of all time.” While Shields is a “2x Olympic gold medalist,” Lefty said she is “strongly considering going for a 3rd.”
Explaining how the Wynn and Shields partnership came to be, Lefty said Pap is to be thanked. He said, “Papoose is an executive at Wynn and it started off [with] our team showing support, attending Claressa’s fights. Our owner Ruben saw a vision for her. ” He continued to reveal how great of support system Papoose is for his partner. Lefty said, “Papoose lends stability, encouragement and emotional support.”

Papoose Showers Claressa Shields With Love And She Denies Pregnancy Rumors
At Shields’ signing party over the weekend, Papoose shared a speech congratulating and showering his lady with love. He said:
“Congratulations to the GWOAT! In case you’ve been living under a rock, that stands for Greatest Woman Of All Time. On your new endeavors, I think it’s safe to say we’re all proud of you. This is your moment. Welcome to Wynn Records. And also, we want you to know that we’re in full support, and I’m definitely in full support. I love you to death. Let me say it again, in case they didn’t hear me. I love you to death, more than anything. But, look, congratulations! Wynn Records! Claressa ‘The GWOAT’ Shields! Let’s go baby! $8 million new deal ”
Elsewhere after the party, Shields was left defending herself against pregnancy rumors. She took to X and fired off on speculation, stating:
“So wait a minute y’all think I’m pregnant cause I toast with water in NYC & cranberry juice in LA.? Did it ever dawn on y’all that I don’t drink? Seriously. I used to drink on special occasions but I have my times where I just go cold turkey for months. This is month 8, last time I had some liquor was my birthday party 🥴 in March.”
In another post, she shared photos of her at the party and said, “Heaux gone stay mad at me. I’m not stopping no time soon 🤪.”
