As we previously reported, President Biden finally made his re-election bid official on Tuesday following months of hinting and speculation.

The President dropped a video on his social media accounts to announce the big news. He said, “When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are. The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer,” he said, adding: “This is not a time to be complacent. That’s why I’m running for re-election.”

Of course, his announcement sparked mixed reactions. While former President Donald Trump expressed that he was against it, calling Biden the “worst President ever,” Oprah Winfrey gave an interesting reaction. When asked how she felt about President Joe Biden announcing he’s running for re-election in 2024 as she left Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon, Winfrey told DailyMail cameras, “Come on, now!” She added, “That’s not happening,” she said, seemingly referring to answering the question.

More Reactions To Biden’s Announcement

In Biden’s campaign video, he included images from the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol with protests over the Supreme Court decision overturning abortion rights. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris called our Republicans who continue to try to take the country “backwards.”

For two years we have made transformational investments to build a nation in which everyone can be safe and healthy, find a good job, and retire with dignity,” she applauded.
However, Harris called out “extremist” Republicans and then accused GOP candidates of wanting to take the country “backward.”

“In response, extremists have intensified attacks on basic, foundational freedoms and rights,” the vice president said. “For example, they want to take away a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body.

“They attack the sacred right to vote and attempt to silence the voice of the people. And they try to block common-sense reforms to save lives and keep Americans safe from gun violence.” Harris proclaimed: “The Republicans running for President want to take our country backward. We will not let that happen.”

Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene eventually caught wind of the video and said, “Joe Biden is running to stop Extreme MAGA Republicans, so let’s define what extreme MAGA Republican policies are.

Extremely secure borders.

Extremely low crime.

Extremely good education for our kids.

Extremely good economy.

Extremely strong dollar.

Extremely America First energy and extremely low energy prices.

Extremely low foreign aid, as in none.

Extremely affordable food and cost of living.

Extremely pushing for world peace with an extremely strong military.”

She also gave this lengthy response:

Either way, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are still all in for the 2024 race and they’re confident they will win and take on another term.
