T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach Have Reportedly Been Banned From Taking News Anchor Roles For A Year

While Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are still said to be going strong, the same can’t be said for their careers, with a new report claiming the pair has been banned from working as news anchors for an entire year. According to The Sun, following their departure from ABC in January, their exit agreement from the network is alleged to have mentioned that neither of them could take on another news presenting job for the aforementioned period of time.

It’s believed that Robach and Holmes have still been having meetings with different networks, but they don’t plan on signing on for anything until they are contractually allowed to do so. In other words, they are keeping their eye out for the right position so that when they are able to get back to work, they will already have a job lined up with a new network. “Even if they had an anchoring offer, they can’t take it because of the wording in their exit contract,” a source said.

“The reports about them looking for work are true, but technically they can’t take on an anchor job specifically, so those talks have all been very casual.” What’s more, Holmes and Robach are also said to be entertaining the idea of potentially joining a “non-news-related job,” including a talk show or a potential reality series, though it’s unclear whether they have received any offers at this point.

It’s believed that there has been interest for them to sign up for “Dancing With The Stars,” according to Radar Online.

However, given that the competition show is part of the ABC family, owned by Disney, the chances of them appearing on “DWTS” seems rather unlikely now that they have officially left ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“Once you’re out at Disney, you are out across the board on all the shows and affiliates. It would have been a fantastic next move for them, but they are now persona non grata with the mouse,” an insider clarified.

Per human resources professional Jason Greer, Robach and Holmes would need some serious HR talk when they do return to work at whatever network they choose after their affair scandal erupted in late 2022. “I would have a lot of training with both Amy and TJ about respectful behavior in the workplace,” he told The Sun.

“Even though we’re talking about chemistry, there are millions of dollars that have been put into your show, and into the salaries of the people who support your show.

“So it’s really important that we don’t make them feel uncomfortable.”
