Olympian Usain Bolt Welcomes Baby Girl With Girlfriend Kasi Bennett

The big exciting news was announced by Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday. He took to social media this morning to share details on their new baby with the runner’s fans. While doing that, Holness also sent his best wishes to the new parents and their new bundle of joy.
“Congratulations to our sprint legend Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl!” He tweeted. Bennett, 29, also appeared to confirm the news on her Instagram Story by reposting Tiffany Samantha‘s video of herself pouring wine into a “Proud Aunt” cup. She captioned the clip: “Because I’ve waited so long for this.”

Bolt and Bennett, who revealed that they were expecting back in January, have been dating for almost seven years. While speaking to PEOPLE Magazine in 2017, the two talked about their desire to have a little family of their own:
“I have [had] a girlfriend for four years now [and] it’s going steadily, so we’re thinking about kids very soon. We’ll see how it goes, we’re taking our time.”
Looks like the time has finally come. Congrats to the happy couple!
