Oklahoma Woman Arrested After Shooting 3 McDonald’s Workers Over Dining Room Closure
An Oklahoma woman has been arrested after shooting three McDonald’s workers who told her she couldn’t sit inside the dining room due to the coronavirus mandated closure.
After first responding to the call on Wednesday evening (May 6), Oklahoma City police have since identified and arrested the suspect, 32-year-old Gloricia Woody, who earlier that day entered the restaurant and refused to leave. Authorities say a physical altercation ensued between Woody and an employee, before others joined in in forcefully putting her out.

Moments later, she returned with a handgun and fired about three rounds, directly hitting one employee in the arm, while a second was hit with bullet fragments in the neck/shoulder area, and a third hit with fragments on their side. The first employee who physically fought her was left with a head injury, the cause still unknown. Fortunately, the three employees were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Woody currently faces four charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
A spokesperson for the local McDonald’s stated, “The safety and security of our employees and customers is our top priority. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved, and the good news is that we can report the employees who sustained injuries are expected to make a full recovery. This is a heinous crime on our restaurant employees who were trying to support public health efforts. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they continue to investigate this matter.”
