Oklahoma Man Fatally Shoots Black Woman To ‘Teach Her A Lesson,’ Tells Cops He’s ‘Glad He’d Done So’
Shane Dale Perosi, a 30-year-old Oklahoma man, fatally shot a 27-year-old Black woman to reportedly “teach her a lesson,” and allegedly told cops that he was “glad he’d done so.”
On Tuesday (Dec. 1), officers from the Enid Police Department arrested Perosi for the shooting death of Martika Ferguson, who was found dead in an alleyway on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 30). Perosi was apprehended after officers and SWAT team members served a no-knock warrant at his home, where they discovered evidence related to the murder.

After interviewing with detectives, officials say Perosi “confessed he shot and killed Ferguson [and did so] to teach her a lesson.” Upon being booked at the Garfield County Detention Facility, Perosi “again reiterated he had murdered Ferguson and said he was glad he’d done so.” Perosi is now facing charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction and destruction of evidence. This murder investigation is ongoing.
