Officials Allege El Chapo’s Wife Is ‘Definitely Cooperating’ & Likely To Enter Witness Protection

According toThe DailyMail, law enforcement officials allege El Chapo‘s wife is “definitely cooperating” and likely to enter a witness protection program in lieu of evading a 40-year prison sentence.

As we reported, Chapo’s wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro, 31, was recently brought up on drug trafficking charges — accusing her of helping run her husband’s empire. Meanwhile Aispuro’s 63-year-old kingpin husband, whose full name is Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, is currently serving a life sentence (for drug trafficking and other charges) in a supermax prison in Colorado.

Now, sources claim the wife of the notorious Mexican drug lord is expected to rat out the Sinaloa cartel. One says, “Emma wants to get far away from the violence, and has always wanted to live in the US.” Should Aispuro enter witness protection, which seems likely per ex-DEA officer Mike Vigil, she will vanish with her twin 9-year-old daughters. Vigil adds that Chapo will also likely encourage her to cooperate, in an avenge attempt against those who crossed him. Vigil is reportedly convinced Aispuro will take the deal.
