The video was originally uploaded on Twitter by Anji j. Rupchandani who said one of his family members was randomly approached by a police officer. The protestor was holding his hands up and lowers them when the officer pulls down his mask and pepper sprays him for no reason then walks away. Rupchandani said he was disgusted by the officer’s actions.
‘I am heartbroken and disgusted to see one of my family members a young black man w/his hands up peacefully protesting and an NYPD officer pulls down his mask and pepper sprays him,’

The cop and his precinct have yet to be identified but in the tweet, Rupchandi tagged NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea. Last night, Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a press conference that anyone involved in any violent activities will be arrested. So far, 345 people have been arrested on Saturday. There was another video where an NYPD van attempted to run over protestors who were forming a blockade.
