NYC Man Fatally Shoots His Mother After Being Asked To Man Up & Get A Job
On Tuesday (Jan. 26), Musa Camara, a 22-year-old NYC man, was arrested for fatally shooting his own mother, of eight children, after being asked to man up and get a job in order to support himself.
Camara allegedly shot his mother, identified as 39-year-old Fatoumata Danson of Gambia and Sierra Leone, in the head following a conversation inside their 15-floor apartment at Lehman Village Houses; which was about him manning up and getting ready for adulthood. Law enforcement officials say they found Camara just half a block from the East Harlem crime scene, with the murder weapon still in his possession.

Camara’s family are now begging he be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The mother’s brother, Yaku Basangari says he wants his nephew “to rot in jail for the rest of his life.” He adds that Camara shot his own mother “Because he’s a lazy bastard…and my sister told him to get a job, threw him out of the house…and this was his reaction.”
