UPDATE: NYC Doormen Fired For Not Helping 65-Year-Old Asian Woman Stomped & Kicked By Man

Previously, we reported on a 65-year-old Asian woman being stomped on and kicked on a building’s sidewalk by a man, identified as Brandon Elliot, 38, while bystanders did absolutely nothing. Now, the NYC doormen to the building where the incident went down have been fired.

The Brodsky Organization, which manages the luxury condo building in question at 360 West 43rd Street, says they immediately terminated their doormen who were present at the time of the attack. Although residents at the building defended the workers, the company argued that the employees were not following “required emergency and safety protocols.”

They add, “We stand with the Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community against racism and hate. We are extremely distraught and shocked by this incident, and our hearts go out to the victim. Our company is committed to implementing a comprehensive retraining of building services staff companywide regarding proper emergency response protocols as well as anti-bias awareness and upstander-bystander interventions.”

As we reported, surveillance footage showed the entire attack of the elderly woman being pushed to the ground and then repeatedly stomped on on her head as she lay there, with no one coming to her rescue.
