Note Left At Ahmaud Arbery Shooting Site, “I Should Have Stopped Them”

A mysterious note was placed on a memorial at the exact spot where Ahmaud Arbery was murdered by Gregory and Travis McMichael, suggesting that there could be another witness in the ongoing case.

News4JAX, captured the image of the card, which was placed at the memorial for Arbery in Georgia.

The note reads, “Ahmaud, I am so sorry. I should have stopped them. I am so sorry.” The eerie message does not come with a name, and there is no indication as to when it was placed there. The note could mean many things, including that of a new witness who may have saw the entire thing go down and failed to step in, but could still be vital to the case.

As we reported, graphic video went viral of the moment that Arbery was shot by Gregory McMichael, 64, and his 34-year-old son, Travis McMichael, who thought he was a ‘burglary suspect.’ Many have been seeking justice after the DA initially told officer’s not to arrest the men, and the prosecutor ruled it as a “justifiable homicide.”
