Welp, things got a little awkward on morning TV and folks definitely peeped it.
Nicole Scherzinger pulled up to Today this Friday with her girls Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt to chat about this reunion tour they’ve got coming. It was all cool, calm and collected. But then the question came. And whew… Nicole froze up.
The host asked why the group is coming back as just three instead of bringing all six of the OG Pussycat Dolls members together, and baby, you could feel the tension through the screen.
Now let’s not forget, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta already made it known they weren’t invited back. So when it came time for Nicole to answer? She tried. She really did. But she had little no words.
On “Today,” Scherzinger tries to explain the group’s reasoning … but, she just keeps starting and stopping sentences — even beginning one “As women today …” before Wyatt jumped in to save her.
Kimberly stepped in like a real one, smoothing it over and explaining that the group has evolved over the years. Lineups changed, things shifted, and this version of the group is just where they are right now as they work through their history.
Nicole backed that up, nodding along and keeping it classy, making sure to show love to everybody who’s been part of building the group’s legacy.
