Nicki Minaj’s Mom Carol Maraj Reportedly Files Another $150M Lawsuit Against Two Companies For The Death Of The Rapper’s Father

According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, Nicki Minaj’s mother Carol Maraj has reportedly filed another lawsuit over the tragic hit-and-run accident that left her husband Robert Maraj dead.

As we previously reported, Robert Maraj was killed after being struck by a car in New York back in February. He was reportedly walking on the street around 6 PM when the vehicle driven by a man identified as Charles Polevich allegedly hit him. Police shared that Polevich allegedly got out of his car to look at Robert but then drove away without calling for help. A month after the incident, Mrs. Maraj filed a $150 million lawsuit against Polevich as she accused him of being negligent and careless while driving.

In the newly filed docs obtained by the news site, Carol Maraj lists Keyspan Energy Corporation and Robert J. Banker Construction, Inc. as the companies that she is suing. She says Keyspan was contracted by the city to repair and replace the lighting at the roadway at the intersection where Robert was killed. She claims her husband’s death “was due and occasioned by the negligent acts of defendant KEYSTONE, its agents, servants, and superiors in the performance of work, maintenance, operation and control of the subject worksite with utter disregard of the result upon the rights and safety of the plaintiff, either alone or in conjunction with its agents.” Carol also explained that the other defendant was hired by the state to work on the roadway at the same intersection. However, they failed to keep their worksite safe and that was a factor in the accident.

As a result of this, Carol, who is the head of Robert’s estate, is asking the court to award her $150 million for the damages she suffered including the lack of companionship. The suit is also asking for money to cover the funeral expenses.
