Nicki Minaj’s Husband Arrested For Failing To Register As A Sex Offender
Yikes! It looks like Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty is getting picked on for his past!
According to TMZ, Petty was arrested by U.S. Marshals on an indictment for failing to register as a sex offender. Per the site, Petty was spotted in federal custody on Wednesday after turning himself in. He is scheduled to go before a judge later today.
The issue started in July of 2019 when Petty first moved to California and he got pulled over while in Beverly Hills in November. Officer’s determined that Petty was a registered sex offender in the state of New York, but, he had failed to do so in California.
He was charged by the L.A. County D.A. for failing to register as a sex offender, and released on a $20,000 bond. However, it seems Petty still didn’t register as the federal authorities are now on top of the case.
As we previously reported, Kenneth’s sex offender status stems from a 1995 conviction for first-degree attempted rape. He spent four years in a New York jail and was required to register as a sex offender. He was later sent to prison for first-degree manslaughter. and spent another seven years in jail before being released in 2013.
If Nicki’s man is convicted for failing to register, he could serve ten years in prison.
