Shortly after the Grammys nominations were revealed on Tuesday, Nicki Minaj became a trending topic on Twitter as people quickly took notice the rapper had been entirely snubbed by The Recording Academy, leaving many — including the Barbz — in shock. Of course, it goes without saying that Nicki recently had a commendable run on the charts with her single “Super Freaky Girl,” which spent 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs Chart.
Yet, despite its chart success and popular TikTok challenges, it apparently wasn’t enough to convince The Recording Academy to issue the track with a nomination in any category — regardless of Pop or Rap. Fans on Twitter were equally just as upset about Nicki’s song, “Do We Have A Problem?”, being left out of a potential nomination, too, considering the single went to No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and has been highly regarded by the Barbz as one of the best rap songs of the year.
They will intentionally give both Glorilla and L@tto a Grammy. Just wait. The idea is to award every single female rapper with one except for Nicki Minaj, the most successful, highest selling and most certified female rapper in history.
It’s sick.

Social media users have been sounding off on Twitter since the Grammys nominations were revealed, with some people wondering whether Nicki speaking out against The Recording Academy for removing her submission of “Super Freaky Girl” from the rap category to pop but keeping Latto’s “Big Energy” under the rap section.
One Twitter user appeared rather angered by Nicki being snubbed by the Grammys yet again, writing, “y’all saying if nicki kept her mouth shut she would’ve been nominated.. but kanye peed on a whole grammy and got another one?? make it make sense..” Another person said, “Today we witnessed Glorilla and Latto get nominated for a Grammy over Nicki Minaj. Wow.”
Another person echoed similar words, saying that despite the fact that Nicki hasn’t won a Grammy throughout her 12-year career, they considered her iconic for it. “Nicki being the only female rapper without a grammy is more iconic to me than her getting one idk,” the Twitter user expressed.
